Code Attendant (under incorporation), including subsidiaries and affiliates worldwide (collectively, “The Company“, “us”, “our” or “we”) respects your concern over the collection and use of your personal information. As such, your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy (“Policy”) listed here covers how we collect, use, disclose, transfer, and store your information. The Privacy Policy also describes the choices available to you regarding our use of your personal information and how you can access and update this information.

Which information we may collect on our Users?

We may collect the following types of data and information from our Users:

  1. Account information –         In order to register to the Services, you will be asked to sign in using a either email, full name and password, or by signing in with Google OAuth which will allow the Company access to your name, email address and a link to a profile image (“Account information”). The company will access and collect, non-anonymously, your Account Information in order to activate your account and to allow authentication service, sending messages and communications and to provide personalized services.
  2. Inquiries – If you contact us for various reasons such as requesting a specific service, asking questions or raising a complaint, we will collect the information related to your inquiry. This may include your name, user ID in the Service, email address and other contact information, depending on the nature of your inquiry.

  1. Analytics Information - The Company may collect, use and disclose in any other manner data and information which derives from Your use of the Software (i.e., usage information, aggregated and analytics information) in order to provide and improve the Services and/or the Software (including updates), the Software Maintenance and other services and for any legitimate business purpose, including collecting information in order to better understanding coding standards and practices and how code is being written based on analysis codes. Some information may be automatically collected through Your use of the Services, and some information is collected when you interact with the website and use our Services. The type of information that may be automatically collected is collected by the Company or through a third-party analytics service, which provides tools to automatically collect information about your use of the service. This information includes telemetry data as well as your coding session durations, the content you accessed on the service, the content that You choose to publish through the Services (“Your Content”), your interactions and user-interface click with respect to such content, referring URLs, the frequency and scope of your use of the Service. The Company may also collect some metadata about the User's code (but not the code itself), in order to provide a better Service and User experience.
  2. Personal Information –         The Company may collect Information from which you can be personally identified, including but not limited to your Account Information, Your email address and the location of the computer through which You used the Website and Services.  If you choose to register with Google account, you will give us access to retrieve your information from this service. The particular categories of information we retrieve from your Google accounts are within the scope of information that such network make available to us by default, according to your privacy settings at such network. The information we collect in this manner typically includes your full name, email address and public information from your profile on the service. The Company may ask You to provide some additional – optional and not mandatory - Personal Information, which will be provided only subject to Your choice, such as: (1) information regarding Your Education, working place and experience; (2) send surveys through the system; and - (3) ask for Your feedback through the tool/website (“Additional information). The Company may use any Additional Information that you may provide for improving the Services and/or the Software (including updates) and for any legitimate business purpose.  Personal Information shall be collected only if received voluntarily by You, including, without limitation, when you download the Company’s plugin, use the Company’s services as well as submit an inquiry regarding the service via the Web

How Do We Collect Information on Our Users?

There are a few methods that we use:

  1. We collect information through your entry and use of the Services. In other words, when you are using the Services, we are aware of it and automatically may gather, collect and store the information relating to your usage and preferences.

Note, that we collect, hold and/or manage Personal Information through authorized third parties vendors of certain products or services (such as, hosting cloud services) (including, as applicable, their affiliates) solely and limited to providing us with such requested services, and not for any other purposes. Such vendors may be located in a country that does not have the same data protection laws as your jurisdiction.

For avoidance of doubt, the Company may use non-personal information and transfer and disclose it to third parties at its discretion.

Deletion or Modification of Personal Information

In any event, if for any reason you wish to delete or modify Personal Information, please send us an e-mail with adequate details of your request to: support@codeattendant.com and we will make reasonable efforts to modify or delete any such Personal Information pursuant to any applicable laws. Note that unless otherwise explicitly specified herein and/or unless you instruct us otherwise, we may retain your Personal Information for as long as reasonably required for the purposes of which such Personal Information was collected, all as permitted under any applicable privacy laws.

Aggregated and/or anonymous information derived from your use of the System may remain on our servers indefinitely.

Please note that the laws of your local jurisdiction may provide you with certain privacy related rights, such as a right of access, right of rectification, right to erasure, right to restrict processing, right of data portability and right to object to processing of Personal Information. Minors

The Services is intended for Users over the age of sixteen (16). Therefore, the Company does not intend and does not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under this age. We reserve the right to request proof of age at any stage so that we can verify that minors under this age are not using the Services. If we learn that we collected Personal Information from minors under the age of sixteen (16) we will delete that information as quickly as possible. Cookies and Local Storage

When you access or use the System, we and/or our third party service providers may use industry-wide technologies such as cookies, web beacons, pixels, clear gifs and other similar tools (or other similar technologies), which store certain local information on your device (“Local Storage”) which may enable us, inter alia, to recognize your device from those of other Users of the System, to improve the System’s performance, to deliver a better and more personalized service according to the User’s individual interests and the device or browser used, to track Users’ use of the System, to gather information about the Users’ approximate geographic location (e.g. city), to prevent fraud and/or abuse, to estimate our audience size and usage pattern and perform other analytics, to develop our System and to serve targeted advertisements.

Such information is locally stored in the User’s device. The Company and/or our authorized third party service providers may access such information. The Company and/or our authorized third party service providers may use both session cookies (which expire once you close the web-browser) and persistent cookies (which stay on the User’s device until he/she deletes them). Such Local Storage used by the System may store non-personal information (such as the different pages viewed by a User within the System) as well as User persistent identifier, which will be collected in accordance with the terms specified herein.

However, if you block or erase cookies, your experience of the System may be limited. It is possible to opt-out of having your browsing activity within the System recorded by performance cookies. Please note that we use Google Analytics, and Visitor Analytics as our service providers in order to track Users’ activities on the Site, including by use such services’ persistent cookies. Such substantial changes will take effect seven (7) days after such notice was provided on our Website or sent by e-mail, whichever is the earlier.
